Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address three election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address three election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir. This information was provided by BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir General Secretary Ashok Kaul on Thursday.
Kaul informed local journalists that Prime Minister Modi will address two rallies in the Jammu region and one in Kashmir. He mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the BJP's election manifesto in Jammu on September 6 and will be on a two-day visit. Kaul also noted that Shah might visit the valley during his trip to Jammu and Kashmir. He added that BJP candidates submitted their nomination papers in Srinagar on Wednesday, and many supporters came out in their favor. Kaul expressed confidence that the people of Kashmir trust the government led by Narendra Modi and will support BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
BJP sources indicated that Prime Minister Modi's rally might be held in Doda district, which has recently witnessed terrorist attacks. The sources mentioned that the party needs a charismatic leader like the Prime Minister to highlight the infrastructure, security, and tourism developments in Jammu and Kashmir over the past decade. The BJP is contesting the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections without any coalition.
Ravinder Raina, the BJP's Jammu and Kashmir President, stated that based on ground realities in certain constituencies in the valley, the BJP might support some independent candidates. Congress and the National Conference (NC) have formed a pre-election alliance to provide a strong challenge to the BJP. NC is fielding candidates in 52 seats, and Congress in 31 seats, while both parties have left two seats—one for CPI(M) in the valley and another for the Panthers Party in Jammu region. In the Jammu region, NC and Congress are both contesting in Nagarota, Banihal, Doda, and Bhaderwah, and in the valley, they are fielding candidates in five seats including Sopore, which the alliance describes as a 'friendly contest.'
Jammu and Kashmir has 90 assembly seats, of which 47 are in the valley and 43 in the Jammu region. Among these, nine seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) and seven for Scheduled Castes (SC).
