Mumbai: Parva Paryushan, the holiest festival in Jain society, begins tomorrow. During this festival there is a devotional atmosphere at large scale and religious programs are held in the Jain Communities. A lot of religious activities, chanting and fasting are being done during this holy festival of Jains. A Save Ariha team of volunteers has been actively and tirelessly running the world wide campaign to bring Indian baby back to India.
This long battle has now got the support of the entire Jain community as the entire community now come together to bring Indian Jain daughter back to India, who is wrongly placed in foster care in Germany from last three long years. It is worth mentioning here that a website and social media pages have also been created with a special WhatsApp number to connect and give support to this mission. Under this campaign, People from the Jain community will share their photos and appealing videos of the prayers done by them for baby Ariha on the given WhatsApp number.
Yatin Shah Coordinator of this campaign lives in Ahmedabad, Gujarat said to ‘The Journalists’ the purpose of this mission is to accumulate and create strong and positive spiritual force for the Jain Daughter. We all know that continuous efforts are being made to bring Ariha back but, now the entire Jain society has come forward to support to bring the daughter back to India. He also mentioned that after knowing facts of the case and the dark truth of Germany, now we are receiving great support from the Indian government and from Influencing leaders. Our Big Jain Saints are also giving us continuous blessings and support for this mission. The Jains do believe in Punya and Karma theory. Therefore, since these Holy eight days of Paryushan are very important for us.
Baby Ariha Shah, daughter of Bhavesh Shah and Dhara Shah, living in Bhayander, Maharashtra and working in Germany, has been in the custody of the German government for the past 36 months. Her parents have been fighting a legal battle for the last three years to get their child’s custody. When Ariha was seven months old, the German government placed Ariha in a German foster care canter after saying that her parents are incapable of taking proper care of their Daughter. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India is making efforts to bring back the three-year-old girl Ariha, but it hasn’t got satisfactory and positive results yet. In this fight, now not only Indian but the Jain community from all over the world is involved in the ‘Ariha Bachao Abhiyan’.
Yatin Shah also mentioned that this is not just a single case, but many NRIs are facing such issues in different countries of Europe. Final judgment of this case is going to impact the future of many such ongoing child custody cases in abroad. In this unique Abhiyaan all the Jains are requested to pray for Ariha while chanting Navkar Mantra and Fasting during the upcoming Holy spiritual days of Paryushana to pave the way to bring her back. A special WhatsApp number has been published where During the Paryushan Parva, a large number of prayer videos or photos from across the country can be sent.
